I receive the sample of this perfume and I liked it. The smell is really good. Also, the duration in my skin was nice and the smell is not very strong.

I was so excited to receive this perfume!! I am absolutely obsessed!! I can’t get enough of it or have enough great things to say about it. I love the black bottle and packaging, It seems to fit very well with the scent. The scent is so warm, sexy, sweet, vanilla, and has the perfect hint of floral. I love that it is strong so you only need one spray to last you the day and it is not too overwhelming. So the bottle will last me a while. I have received many compliments when I am wearing it, so I have already recommended it to several friends and family members. Highly recommend trying it and I’m sure will be purchasing when I run out.

Over time, the vanilla is still present, but it’s toned down as it blends with light florals. I would describe this fragrance as a “grown up gourmand”. It’s perfect for those who love the warm, creamy nature of vanilla scents but are seeking a more intricate, adult option. Personally, I prefer this version much more than the original Black Opium. Vanilla is the star of Le Parfum, which makes it sweeter and more wearable for everyday. With Black Opium, florals are the most prominent note and the overall scent is heavier, darker and more appropriate for nighttime or special occasions. Both have decent lasting power and linger on the skin for over four hours.

I honestly have never picked this scent up to test at the store because the name not packaging really appealed to me. I consider myself very lucky to have received this to test because it was a very pleasant surprise to smell! Things I loved: -potent so a little goes a long way! -warm and slightly spicy notes. Strong on vanilla and almost a hint of coffee -very feminine scent- not a trendy ambiguous one Things I didn’t love: -the bottle (1.0oz) didn’t impress me at all, it resembled a cheap drug store bottle and I wouldn’t put it out for display -this scent didn’t last very long on me. I like in a warm/humid environment so possibly that has something to do with it? While this is a little too much for an everyday fragrance, I would definitely wear this for a night out. I did receive multiple compliments on it, especially from men.

It’s billed as a warm and spicy gourmand. I was excited to try this perfume as it is such a widely loved fragrance, the packaging is very sleek and glamorous with the black glitter and dark metal. I am often hesitant to try commercial perfumes as they are often too strong and cloying, unfortunately, I simply found this perfume to be too sweet and smothering. Which is saying a lot, as I am normally a gourmand fragrance fanatic. I picked up more of the vanilla and florals rather than the coffee undertones. It was a miss for me, sadly. I will wear it occasionally, but it is too much to be a daily perfume wear, it's just too overpowering. I wouldn't re-purchase this, but the packaging is lovely, and I know many people like this fragrance, wish it had been a hit for me as well.
Beautiful smell but not long lasting as you will expected
Sadly, another bad buy. Smells good but lasts 5 minutes! I’ve tried several YSL perfumes but found all not to be long-lasting! After reading the reviews, I thought this might be different but, no, it's just like the rest! I won't be buying any more YSL perfumes!
I used to love YSL perfume, especially Manifesto (sadly discontinued) 3 sprays and the smell would linger all day, everyone used to compliment it. Now even though I spray twice as much, the smell dissappears within an hour. Disappointed and considering it got more expensive.
Unfortunately it did not smell how it should and the bottle was leaky.
