Some thoughts I have on this facial cleanser: - Small ingredient list This cleanser has an unusually small ingredient list. The reason this can be good is because each ingredient is a possible irritant/allergen, so reducing the amount of ingredients can reduce the chance that you will react to something. This doesn't mean you can't react to this cleanser, it just means the chance is lower than other products with larger ingredient lists. - Targeted at sensitive skin On top of having mild surfactants this product is free of a bunch of common irritants/allergens like fragrance, sulphates and parabens among other things. While I certainly won't go as far as to say all of the things that this cleanser is free from are always bad, it may increase the scope of people that won't react to this cleanser. - Seb derm / fungal acne safe Many cleansers and moisturizers contain ingredients (like oils/esters) that feed Malassezia yeast which is a factor in seb derm/fungal acne. This cleanser does not and therefore should be considered low risk. - It just cleanses, doesn't moisturize This cleanser is not trying to do anything other than cleanse your face as gently as possible. Some people think that the inclusion of glycerin means it's hydrating like a moisturizer but that's not true because this is a wash off product, not a leave on product. Glycerin's purpose in wash off products is more about reducing the drying effect of its surfactant rather than moisturizing. - Washes clean I don't notice any film left after rinsing. - Foams a reasonable amount I have 1/4 inch buzzed hair and use this cleanser not just on my face but my entire head. While it doesn't foam as much as a shampoo I have had zero issues spreading it over my head with a single squirt. - pH... Something Vanicream claims this cleanser is pH balanced on their website but most independent testing I can find indicates it's more pH neutral. Honestly that's fine, both of these options are better than many high alkaline cleansers that are not designed for sensitive skin. Conclusion: For those of us who want a cleanser that just cleanses as gently as possible and doesn't try to do anything special, this is a great option.

I love the gentleness of this cleanser, gives good lather, non drying. I use it after micellar water in evening and as sole cleanser in am.

Absolutely love this face wash. It removes makeup fully without stripping the skin barrier. I have sensitive skin but also use active skin care products which can leave my skin dry and patchy. This has been the only face wash that has worked for me and has not caused any breakouts. I usually buy this at my local Canadian drugstore (think red sign) and it’s about $4 cheaper buying it on Amazon.

Honestly, growing up with acne, I’ve tried my fair share of different face washes. However, this particular face wash has the best results on the market not only is this face wash very gentle and does the job you feel squeaky clean after using it, but I have never broken out or had any reaction to this product and I have super sensitive skin, I recommend this face wash to everyone I know and I will continuously buy this until the day I die it smells clean feels great and leaves my skin hydrated well getting rid of blemishes. I cannot talk about this product enough and I will bring it everywhere I go!! Love love love

This product has been in my routine now for about a year. This stuff is the least harsh, it suds up nicely and it’s easy to wash off. Unlike some face washes it doesn’t leave your skin feeling dried out. It keeps it hydrated but also feels super clean after using it. I pair it with acnex purifying solution which I use after the face wash. And I haven’t had an active breakout for months. I will always choose vanicream
