It helps with mild exfoliation. Words cannot describe how much I love this mask. You apply it to a clean face after washing. The stick form is brilliant. It glides across the skin like butter and doesn't get all over your hands and under your nails during application. I'm a GenX'er who grew up using clay masks so I always appreciate when one is done well and this one is. It dries without excessive cracking (which can sometimes be painful) and is supposed to be rinsed off with lukewarm water after 3-5 minutes. My skin was SO SOFT after application. It's now two days since I used it last and the softness has lasted. And I really do feel like it cleaned out and tightened the pores in my T-zone. I would give this 6-stars if I could!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay, well, my skin and clay masks do not mix well. They dry my skin out really bad so I don’t use them often or at all really. This did exactly that, which I was hoping it wouldn’t. I applied it after cleansing my face, while I was in the shower, since it says let it sit for 3-5 minutes. After I washed it off, I could tell my skin was just too stripped. It was super tight and just felt horribly dry. If you like clay masks and don’t mind that dry feeling, this is something you may like. However, if you’re like me and don’t like that, then I can’t recommend. Now I will say, I didn’t have a bad skin reaction to the formula. It didn’t burn, I didn’t go red, I didn’t get any irritation at all. I just can’t use clay masks because I don’t like how they strip my face. But I will try and figure out a different use for this so I can still get some use out of it!
