I suspect it’s the sandalwood contributing to that spicy essence. While the scent is undeniably smooth, I was taken aback by how dominant it was at first. However, the drydown is truly lovely. The osmanthus blossoms beautifully as it settles, lingering on my skin for hours. The projection and staying power are quite prominent. Cannot speak for the packaging as I received a vial and have no idea what the actual perfume bottle looks like.

I was ready to write a scathing review of Osmanthus Nectar after wearing it and getting a headache from the sheer perfuminess and synthetic nature of it. Then I had my wife try it on. It just smells really good and intoxicating in the air. I think it's one that when you're smelling it all the time will make you gag and give you a headache, but is good in small doses. Fruity jammy apricot, smooth osmanthus tea atop a woody base. It's really strong, I'm not sure why the longevity and sillage ratings are so low; ironically I think it would be a better scent if it wasn't so pushy and powerful.
