This cologne is ridiculous, it's gotta be like 40% pheromones or something. As soon as I changed to this kind everyone went nuts and cant get enough of me, doubt I'll be buying differently anytime soon

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Giorgio Armani's Aqua do Gio is a "formal" scent that evokes a nice suit and an evening out on the town. It is generally a citrusy scent with se base musky notes and a hint of pine or cedar, bit all of that combine to create the type of cologne you want to wear to a cocktail hour. The cologne isn't too overpowering, though the pump spray tends to emit more than what is needed. (I suggest pumping into the air and walking through the cloud for a more even distribution of the fragrance.) After an hour or two of wear, the scents mild out and you get a distinct sea breeze mix of salt air and lemon peel. The next day, the shirt you wore holds closely to an oaky musk with a splash of bergamot and cedar. Though I generally don't wear cologne everyday, this has certainly made its way into my repertoire for formal occasions and date nights, and I might start wearing it more even more often than that!

You do get some musk in the opening and lasts the whole time wearing it. It’s a great fresh aquatic fragrance that’s been around for years and still continues to be a popular pick. They’ve produced a good amount of flankers from it because of how good and popular it’s been for the last 20+ years. I still enjoy wearing it and always will. If you are someone who is looking for a fresh woody citrus fragrance and maybe new to fragrances this is a good pickup that you and people around you will enjoy smelling. It’s very versatile, you can wear it to just about any setting. Can be worn any time of the year and still works. Highly recommend. Lasts on me a good 7 hours. Hope this helps someone who’s never smelled it and on the fence to get it or not.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Several years ago, I noticed a buddy of mine smelled surprisingly clean. I asked him what cologne he was wearing, and he said Acqua di Gio. I am a sucker for fresh aquatic colognes in the Summer, but I was addicted to Polo Blue at the time, otherwise, I would have gotten this. Flash forward about 15 years and sampling this took me right back to when I first noticed the scent. It’s fresh, masculine, and great for the Summer. There are more unique options out there, but Acqua di Gio is a classic for a reason. One drawback there is a lot of guys still wear this, so you might not stand out in the crowd l. I got 6-7 hours of projection, which is decent. Then it settles into a skin scent for another couple of hours. My advice would be to exercise caution on the number of sprays. Too much and you can easily be deemed “cologne guy.”
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this bottle of Acqua Di Gio by Giorgio Armani Cologne for free from Influenster and Giorgio Armani in exchange for my honest review. As one who doesn't have a refined smell it is tough to pinpoint the different notes. It is a fresh crisp citrusy smell. I did notice a bit of some oceanic hints. Officially I found descriptions of aquatic, hyacinth fragrance that opens with a splash of fresh, calabrian bergamot, neroli and green tangerine. Light, aquatic nuances mix with jasmine fragrance, crisp rock rose, rosemary, fruity persimmon with a warm Indonesian patchouli. It is very pleasant and could see myself swapping this around with my daily cologne I use. Sadly, this is not acqua di gio. I had high hopes but when opened the box and sprayed the fragrance, i made a disappointing realization. It doesn't smell like ADG anymore, they changed something and the whole note pyramid collapsed, making it smell like a watered down knock off (the lasting power and projection are really non existent) Probably they won't brink back the original formula and maybe they only are focusing releasing the new flankers such as parfum, eau de parfum, elixir, profondo, profondo eau de parfum, parfum etc. Maybe elixir absolu "Happy Thanksgiving is next" 🤷♂️ I own most of the line and ia a huge fan of the brand in general, but nothing is like the original 1996 one. Thank God I still have a bottle of Essenza, (also gone for good of course).
