I am so delighted to have discovered this lip balm. I thought Aquafor was as good as it gets, but this is much better. I have dry lips. My lip barrier—particularly where my upper and lower lip meet—has been compromised for years, and in a chronic cycle of sloughing off and rebuilding. The Cicalfate+ lip balm has actually restored my lip barrier, and I am no longer rubbing flakes from my lips. I also prefer the feel of it to Aquafor; it feels like it holds onto my lips better, and won't slide off like Aquafor does. I am sorry that some of the reviewers are missing the old formula, but I would give the current formula 6 stars if I could, and encourage anyone to try it!
AMAZING!!!! THIS ACTUALLY GIVES RELIEF, REPAIRS AND PROTECTS. I love lip products, I’m always buying new lip products in search of the best. After 1 day of my family trying this, I bought 4 more tubes! It healed my daughters windburn lips and eczema patch around her lips in 24 hours. She felt instant relief. Each of my kids have a tube for school and they apply it before recess and not one of them have chapped/cracked lips from the cold weather. I put this on at night and I can still feel a bit of it in the morning. It’s a game changer and I’m so impressed! I’d pay double the price for these results and protection. It’s thicker than I was expecting and now I know why… It’s full of amazing ingredients that actually work. My search to find the best lip product, stops here! It beats all of the high-end overnight lip masks with promising claims that don’t do anything at all. My lips feel and look healthy, smoother and best of all, my family’s lips won’t be chapped or cracked this Winter!
Bought this hoping I would like it- not expecting it would become my holy grail lip balm. I’m impressed- in winter my lips often become dry and nothing ever really helps prevent the cracks or peeling. This works. One application- my lips felt soft and not tight or dry at all and felt just as great when I woke up the next morning. I won’t go without this. Only takes a tiny little amount to cover your lips- you barely use any. And it works under makeup I have found.

It truly is a dose of restorative magic for my lips. I don’t wear a lot of lip products but Avene has given the mildest option for dry lips. After a long day, putting this on before bed is restoring the moisture of young lips. It stays on the whole night too. Nothing compares.
It's worth the money and really hydrates my lips. I would definitely recommend.

My dermatologist recommended this lip balm to me as I have been suffering long term from dry lips. This lip balm feels more like lotion and absorbs quickly. It does not have a greasy feel. It healed my dry lips in a week.

I absolutely love this lip balm. It is truly the only one I have used that works and lasts. My lips feel ultra smooth and soft during and after application.

Compré esta crema de labios de Avène porque tenía los labios bastante mal por el ambiente seco, el frío y quizá también por estar un poco bajo de defensas. Llevaba varios días sin notar mejoría con diferentes barras labiales, así que decidí probarla. No sé si fue por el producto o porque ya tocaba que se curaran, pero el caso es que me funcionó y se me recuperaron. No diría que es milagrosa, pero sí que me parece que ayuda bastante. Desde entonces la uso la mayoría de días. La textura es tipo crema, se absorbe rápido y no deja residuos. Me gusta que no tiene ese acabado aceitoso estilo “gloss” que dejan algunas barras. Para mí ha sido una buena opción para mantener los labios hidratados sin sensación pegajosa.

I used to love this product but something has happened? I am so disappointed. I was able to use it in the morning and at night and my lips were fine. Now I have to put chap stick on several times a day. Did you change it? Or did my lips change?
This product is great for dry chapped lips. I love the product but wish it was larger for the price.
Okay - feels oily compared to what I expected. I expected this to be soothing like the OLD Avene Cicalfate formulation but instead it is kinda greasy and feels mostly like Vaseline. I was so disappointed with my Avene products this time around after having been a solid fan for years, but I think they are cheapening their ingredients. This lip balm is still better than the new formulation of Avene Cicalfate, which used to be my holy grail, so I’ll give it a 4 stars, but I also don’t think I’ll purchase it again and try out other brands that ARENT cheapening their ingredient list.
I do not like the balm as well. It's too thick sometimes. I liked the lip cream better and I know I am not the only one. Please consider bringing lip cream formula back.

Maar 1x gebruikt en daarna niet meer. Heb het heel dun aangebracht. Maar omdat de emulsie wit is en niet goed intrekt krijg je witte randjes op je lippen. Alsof je recht uit bed komt. Geen gezicht dus.
Seriously, why do you keep changing formula of great products? Cold cream, tolerance, now this too... What's worse is that reviews here are still for the old formula that worked awesome, but the new one is a generic drugstore balm that dries out and irritates more than helps if anything
After my review six months ago that I found this new formula to be irritating, I tried it again since I have 5 tubes (when I bought them they had the old formula pic up so it was very misleading). The old formula soothes my lips and I did not need to reapply often. This new formula makes my lips slightly tingle and my lips feel dry soon after, making me have to reapply. I really gave it another shot, but this new formula is horrible. Please change it back! Also in my last review they said someone would reach out to me, but never did. Also it’s very misleading that all the older reviews here are from the old formula.
The new formula doesn't do anything more than a cheap lip balm from the grocery store. I LOVED the old version, it made my lips soft and smooth, people even thought I had gotten filler to smooth out my lips but it was just the old version. I won't be buying this new one again.
Like many others have said, bring back the old formula!!!! That was the only lip product I've found that actually helped with my dry lips. I swear this new one makes my lips drier. I'm sooo bummed.
