I was skeptical to purchase Al Haramain's Detour Noir, but purchased it anyway since it's highly rated by some. So, I was so excited to open the package when it arrived. Honestly, I didn't like the bottle as it's awkward to spritz and the nozzle keeps falling off. The opening smells fresh, citrusy and woody, with sweet vanilla almond and musk; and I thought at first that it leans more on the musculine side, but just wait until the dry down. It has a very good projection as the clean-fresh vibe will surely fill the entire room. Unfortunately, it does not last that long on my skin (4-6 hours), but who cares, it's affordable at 145 SAR compared to Layton, and I love the smell! Highly recommended to men and women alike.

Desde la primera pulverización, Detour Noir transmite elegancia y carácter. Es una fragancia intensa pero equilibrada, con una apertura cálida y especiada que evoluciona hacia un fondo dulce, cremoso y ligeramente amaderado. La combinación está muy bien lograda y se siente mucho más cara de lo que realmente cuesta. La duración es excelente: en piel supera fácilmente las 8 horas y en ropa permanece incluso más tiempo. La proyección durante las primeras horas es notable, dejando una estela atractiva sin resultar excesiva. Es un perfume que llama la atención y recibe cumplidos. Me parece especialmente adecuado para otoño e invierno, así como para salidas nocturnas o eventos especiales, aunque también puede usarse en el día si se aplica con moderación. Tiene una personalidad envolvente y sofisticada. Por su calidad, rendimiento y precio, merece sin duda las 5 estrellas. Una compra totalmente recomendable.
Was not skeptic about this one..after day 3 onwards I felt it’s well worth buying.. more expectation over the time which is normal for most of the middle eastern fragrances..
Detour Noir completely exceeded my expectations. The scent is rich, smooth, and beautifully blended with a perfect balance of sweet, woody, and slightly spicy notes. It smells far more expensive than its price would suggest. The performance is excellent, with impressive longevity and strong projection during the first few hours before settling into a refined, long-lasting scent. I’ve received numerous compliments every time I’ve worn it. The bottle is generous, the fragrance is versatile enough for both casual and formal occasions, and the overall quality is exceptional. If you’re looking for an affordable fragrance that performs like a premium designer scent, Al Haramain Detour Noir is an easy five-star recommendation.
Amazing value for money. I can't compare it to Layton as I have never experienced that fragrance, but I adore the smell of Detour Noir, and definitely agree that it is much akin to apple pie with vanilla ice cream. To me it is heavenly. My first initial impression was not as positive, but after a few weeks of maceration, the scent improves immensely and to me, it is now easily one of my favourite fragrances. The bottle is hideous in design though, atomiser is great. Lasts a good amount of time on skin and on clothes.

The scent itself isn't bad, but it comes across as noticeably synthetic. You can tell it's a budget fragrance, and while that's understandable at this price, it lacks the smoothness and refinement of better clones. If you're just getting into fragrances, this could be a good introduction to the scent profile. However, if you've smelled the original or other high-quality alternatives, you'll likely notice the difference. The bottle also feels very cheap. Personally, it reminds me of something you might pick up at a fuel station.
